Marquise-shaped
A long, thin brilliant cut diamond that is boat-shaped with gently curved sides that come to a point on either end.
Mixed Cut
This cut combines the beauty of the
step-cut
and the sparkle of the brilliant cut facets.
Mohs Scale
The Mohs scale is a table of relative hardness that ranks a mineral's strength and durability on a scale from 1 to 10, with 1 being talc and 10 being diamond. The scale was developed over 100 years ago by Frederic Mohs.
Mounting
The setting is the part of a ring that holds the diamond in place. It is usually made of gold or platinum.
