I am having trouble placing my order and my card is declining.

Some reasons why your card might be declining are:
  • Wrong credit card number entered
  • Incorrect name on card
  • Address is not on file with Credit Card Company
  • Internet Charges are not authorized or are monitored closely on your account
  • Your new card has not been activated
  • You have exceeded your daily limit if it is a debit card associated with your bank
  • Insufficient funds

Do you collect sales tax?
Sales tax is only collected on orders shipped to addresses in California.

Can I buy several items and just keep the one I like?
At Spencer & Spencer we discourage comparison purchasing. Comparison purchasing is buying several items with the intent of keeping one of the items and returning the remaining items. We discourage this because it affects our inventory overhead, can be very costly, and makes it difficult for us to keep our prices low.

If you have any questions about a jewelry item or diamond, please email us at orders@spencer-spencer.com and we would be happy to answer questions you might have.

Product and Pricing Policies
Our product availability and prices are subject to change without notice. Please note that product information and pricing may be displayed incorrectly on our web site from time to time due to system errors. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but we do not honor erroneous prices. If you have any questions about our product or pricing policies, please do not hesitate to contact one of our diamond and jewelry consultants at orders@spencer-spencer.com

What is your policy on Conflict Diamonds?
At Spencer & Spencer, we support the Kimberley Process and are members of the Jewelers for Clean Diamond Imports Campaign. This process requires that all diamond retailers operating in the US buy diamonds from suppliers who guarantee that their diamonds were obtained through legitimate channels.

We guarantee that all of our diamonds have been purchased from legitimate sources not involved in funding conflict and in compliance with the United Nations resolutions. Our diamond sources guarantee that these diamonds are conflict-free, based on personal knowledge and/or written guarantees provided by the supplier of these diamonds.

Can you explain what it means to Gemprint a diamond?
Every diamond has its own visual signature and fingerprint. No two diamonds are alike. To make sure the Spencer & Spencer diamond you receive and wear is protected for a lifetime, all diamonds ¾ ct. and over are accompanied by a Gemprint report. Gemprint is the world’s most sophisticated noninvasive diamond identification and registration system. You will receive a copy of your diamond’s Gemprint report which is stored in their international database.

The recovery of your diamond is made possible if it is ever swapped, lost, or stolen. Most insurance companies will give you a 10% discount or more if your diamond is Gemprinted. In addition, a Gemprint can be used as evidence in a court of law.
